Praia da Prainha

Praia da Prainha sits near Alvor in the municipality of Portimão, close to the eastern end of Praia dos Três Irmãos. At low tide, Praia dos Três Irmãos gives access towards Prainha through rocky coves and chasms, but this should only be considered when tide and sea conditions are safe. The surrounding area connects naturally with the Alvor coastline, Praia dos Três Irmãos and the Varandas Sobre o Mar clifftop route, making it a strong choice for visitors who value coastal scenery over extensive beach infrastructure. Facilities are listed by Visit Portimão, but the municipality states that Prainha was not identified as bathing water nor qualified as a bathing beach in 2024 due to bather safety and risk issues.
