Beach do Camilo is a compact maritime beach in Lagos, set between sculpted cliffs on the Costa d'Oiro side of the city. VisitPortugal describes a small sandy beach sheltered between cut cliffs, reached by a staircase of around 200 steps.
The beach is strongest for scenery rather than space. Its cove scale, golden rock formations and elevated approach make it useful for photography, short beach visits and walks towards Ponta da Piedade. Lagos municipality also describes Camilo as a small beach between cliffs, with interesting rock formations, a shell-like shape and beach surveillance.
